  3. - Manual is nroffed and stripped of extra characters. If you'll want
  4. the original nroff-format manual, read the ftp-note. All texts are
  5. converted into <CR><LF> format.

  7. - You can now specify your default font-directory with the FIGLETFONTS
  8. enviroment variable.
  9.  
  10. Eg. If your fonts are in 'c:\usr\bin\figfonts\' directory, use
  11. 'setenv FIGLETFONTS=c:\usr\bin\figfonts'.

  13. - There's also a control file that maps (all the possible) ST characters
  14. to the default ISO latin-1 character set. You can activate it with
  15. 'figlet -C st'.

  17. - Programs were compiled with GCC 2.5.8 and MiNTlibs PL 44 using -O2
  18. option.

  21. A good place for ASCII and Figlet related stuff is S'carecrow's ASCII
  22. Archive' and www-page in: 'ftp.wwa.com:/pub/Scarecrow/' and
  23. 'file://ftp.wwa.com/pub/Scarecrow/Figlet'. You could also subscribe
  24. yourself into 'alt.ascii-art' and related groups.
